SKA provides information technology support for the 59th Signal Battalion's SigNET DMZ (Data Management Zone), the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team’s web page and communications engineering and design support for U.S. Army Alaska and Tenant Activities at Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright, AK.

SigNet DMZ is a user-friendly web-based collaborative portal that enhances the execution of the unit administration’s mission. It allows users to interface complex databases through a web front end, while creating a net-centric environment for unit collaboration. SKA established, operates and maintains the collaborative site. The site is designed to help enforce U.S. Department of Defence directed Lean Six Sigma practices by eliminating waste within the unit's administration environment. The system was awarded the 2006 LandWarNet Award Winner: ‘e-Army Initiative’.

The 172nd SBCT website requires content management and system support. This task requires knowledge of the Macromedia Cold Fusion application, programming with HTML/XML format and embedding multimedia content with applications such as Macromedia Breeze, Windows Server 2000/2003 and Internet Information System (IIS) configuration and security requirements.

Communications engineering and design support for local activities provides support for telecommunication and planning for new military construction upgrades and expansions. SKA develops technical specifications, drawings, facility and equipment lists, cost estimates, statements of work and related information for new military construction projects. SKA also performs site surveys, develops cost estimates and prepares system design plans, diagrams and computer-aided design drawings for existing and new telecommunications and IT network/systems at Fort Wainwright.
